Every piece of art has a touching story behind it, and this intricate paper sculpture is no exception. Today, I want to share a custom piece our company created for a special client.

 

▋The Inspiration for Customization

Looking back to 2023, that year marked the Year of the Rabbit in Chinese culture. The inspiration for this piece came from a client's request. He wanted us to create a unique artwork for his family to commemorate the significant moment of welcoming a new life. His entire family was born in the Year of the Rabbit, and their upcoming baby would also be born in the Year of the Rabbit. Therefore, he specifically asked us to reflect this in the artwork.

▋The Story Behind the Artwork

In this exquisite paper sculpture, we see three adorable rabbits representing the client's family. The largest rabbit is the father, standing as the head of the family, holding a gold ingot symbolizing wealth. The middle rabbit is the mother, smiling warmly and also holding a gold ingot symbolizing family wealth. The smallest rabbit is their child, innocently holding a basket of gold coins, symbolizing the family's prosperity and hope for the future.

A touching detail is the small egg on the ground next to these rabbits. This symbolizes that the mother is pregnant and they are about to welcome a new member to their family. The egg represents not only the birth of new life but also the continuation and legacy of the family.

▋Craftsmanship and Details

To fulfill the client's wishes, our team of designers meticulously planned every detail. From selecting each layer of paper to carving every small decoration, a great deal of effort was put into this piece. The intricate gold embellishments, traditional Eastern architecture, and vibrant cloud patterns all showcase our dedication to perfection in every detail.
