Sometimes, do you also feel like this: You wake up in the morning, your body has no illness or pain, but you just can’t get yourself going; There aren’t many things to do, but your mind feels stuck, your heart is unsettled and agitated; By the afternoon, you already feel like a battery in the red zone, with no motivation left at all.

Actually, I sometimes also have this kind of state, Especially when work suddenly piles up, client messages keep coming in, And my heart is filled with too many thoughts— My whole self just feels “scattered”, and “drained”.

So today, I want to share with you something very important I’ve slowly come to realize through these years of working, especially after starting my own paper carving business: You don’t have to be very powerful, but you must learn how to maintain your energy.

Whether your energy is good or not, has nothing to do with time, But has everything to do with how you live each day.

We often say we don’t have enough time, But what we really lack is energy.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed— Some people seem to do a lot throughout the day, But at the end, feel empty and exhausted; Some people only do two or three things, Yet still have a good mood, and still have the energy at night to catch a drama or accompany their family.

Do you know what the difference is?
The answer is— whether they’re spending their energy in the right place.

I used to easily pack my schedule to the brim, But later realized that doing so not only made things worse, But also made me irritated and anxious.

Now I’ll pause and think first: “Today, what are my three most important things?”
Sometimes, the important thing isn’t work— It’s to take a proper meal, get good sleep, or have a chat with your family.

Find the things that “resonate” in your heart, and energy will naturally follow.

I really believe in this sentence: “Passion is the best source of energy.”

Have you noticed, When you’re doing something you’re interested in, Not only do you not feel tired, But the more you do, the more energized you become?

Just like when I’m doing paper carving— Cutting and crafting away, time flies by without me noticing.

That feeling offocusand immersion, Works better than any energy drink.

So you see, sometimes we’re not tired— We just don’t feel anything inside.

We’re simply going through tasks mechanically, Living day by day with no soul in it, Of course we can’t summon any energy.

Here’s what I suggest you try:

  • Do something small that you truly enjoy from your heart

  • Or, rediscover your original intention in your work:
“Why did I start doing this in the first place?”

When you re-ignite that feeling, Energy will naturally return to you.

Don’t try to do everything—being too greedy means you’ll end up doing nothing well.

There was a period of time I always thought: As long as I do a bit more, the client will be more satisfied; As long as I take on one more project, the company will earn more;
As long as I add a little here and fix a little there, everything will be more perfect.

But later, I found that the thing that drained my energy the most— Was not the work itself, But the obsession of “wanting to take care of everything”.

Energy is something to be cultivated—not something you force your way through.

We all know that when the body is tired, it needs rest.
But very few people realize— The heart can also be tired, and needs to be “taken care of” even more.

If you often feel like you just can’t get going,
Don’t rush to blame yourself.

Instead, give yourself some “discharge” moments, like:

  • Turn off your phone for an hour

  • Listen to an old song you love

  • Sleep early at night, don’t binge-watch till dawn

  • Have a chat with a friend, even a casual one

  • Take time to tidy your room or grow a small plant

These may seem like small things, But they slowly recharge your energy, And help you get back to your best state. Lastly, I just want to say—  I’m writing this article not because I’m full of energy and positivity every day, But because I too fall into “low-battery” states. I’ve just learned to treat myself more gently now, And become clearer on which things are worth spending effort on, and which should be let go.

Life is not a race to see who runs the fastest, But about whether you know how to use your energy in the right places.

I hope after reading this, You can also ask yourself:

Today, where do I want to spend my energy?
What is something I truly want to do?

Wishing you can slowly find back your own rhythm day by day, Don’t rush too much, don’t be too tired, As long as you walk steadily in the direction you love— That is already enough.
