Time always passes without us realizing it. In the blink of an eye, Kamicarv has entered its third year. Looking back on this journey, I am amazed at how quickly time flies. However, I have come to deeply understand that life is short. We must experience it with our hearts and feel it with our souls to create meaningful memories and carve out a truly our own life.

 

This realization is also at the core of our paper carving creations. The Sultan Abdul Samad Building, a landmark with over a century of history, has stood the test of time, witnessing the evolution of Kuala Lumpur and the country’s history. Its iconic clock tower records the past while standing strong in the present. This building reminds me that although time never stops, the things truly worth remembering will continue to live on in different forms.

I have always believed that letting your heart be free is incredibly important. True freedom doesn’t mean having no limits; it means following your heart, not being swayed by external noise, and not being bound by the expectations of others. It means choosing to work and live in a way that feels right to you. This belief allows me to focus on my passion for paper carving every day, finding joy in creation, and cherishing the journey with my loved ones as we grow together and appreciate the beauty of life.

As I carefully carve the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, it feels like a conversation with the building itself. I want to capture its essence and tell its story in the most delicate way possible. Because whether it’s a structure or a life, the things truly worth cherishing are always carved with heart and soul.

Over the past two years, Kamicarv has grown from just an idea into reality. We have faced challenges but have also experienced many moments of joy. Every creation and every shared piece of work is an extension of my heart, a way to connect with others. I deeply treasure this journey and feel immense gratitude for every person I have met along the way.

Time will never pause, but we can choose how we spend it. May we all have the courage to set our hearts free, to follow our passions bravely, and to carve out a truly unique and fulfilling life in the flow of time.
